Romero is a little puppy with a big future ahead of him. He's in training to be a dog guide!
Right now Romero is living with his foster mom, Sam, and learning how to behave at home and in public. When he's about a year old, he will return to Dog Guides Canada for formal training. If he passes all of his medical and temperament tests, he will be trained in one of the five dog guide programs and matched with a person with a disability:
Canine Vision - for people who are blind or visually impaired
Hearing Ear - for people who are deaf or hard of hearing
Special Skills - for people with a medical or physical disability
Seizure Response - for people with epilepsy
Autism Assistance - for children with autism

Lions Foundation of Canada provides dog guides at no cost to qualified recipients. However, the process of raising and training a dog guide costs approximately $20000! That's why we're asking for your help to fundraise Romero's scholarship.*
*If for any reason Romero does not qualify as a dog guide, all funds raised will be used to support another dog guide team.
