Romero was named after Ricky Romero, a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, and both Sam and Romero are big baseball fans (Go Jays Go!).
We thought it would be fun to ask for pledges to Romero's Scholarship fund that relate to Ricky Romero's performance over the 2011 season. Perhaps you could pledge to donate 10 cents for every inning pitched, $1 for every strikeout, or $1000 if he throws a no-hitter this season. ;) Be creative - we'd love to hear your ideas.
